The Mayan Sacred Calendar returns us to natural timing, freeing us from the restrictions of a mechanized clock. When we flow with the natural order of things, time becomes art… synchronicity abounds and we feel ‘at one’ with all of life.
Today we begin a new Wavespell in the Mayan Sacred Calendar (The Tzolkin). This will run for 13 days from the 3rd until 16th June and gives a wonderful opportunity to be open to what this next ‘wave’ brings. Worldbridger speaks of ‘death and transformation’; death in the real, physical sense but also in the sense of the ‘false personality’ dying to a symbolic death. Death in the physical sense is a passage from the temporal world we occupy to the etheric world to which we return … and Worldbridger teaches us to let go of fears we may have around death and reminds us that life is eternal …
Our fears around our own mortality have been exacerbated in the last few months with the Global pandemic which has dominated our lives… some of us have been touched personally and felt the loss and accompanying grief that comes with losing a loved one, family member or friend. It takes a shift in awareness to realise that death is necessary and just as everything in nature grows and blossoms, then returns to the soil and decays and blooms again, so death is such an obvious part of the natural process. Just as in nature, in death there is liberation and transformation.
When we embrace death as a transitional process and trust that it will bring new growth to us, it forces us to align with nature instead of our ego self. Rumi said;
“Our death is our wedding with eternity.”
A symbolic death asks us to consider the emotional baggage from the past that we are carrying; is that not a burden from which you would want release and freedom? Holding on to past patterns and grievances limits our possibilities and blocks us from opening up to new opportunities. Remember; ‘what we resist…persists.’
This thirteen day wave asks you to release those outgrown parts of the self that no longer serve your higher purpose and intentions. Perhaps for many of us, the enforced lockdown has pushed some of these ‘outworn’ parts of the self to rise to the surface. We cannot escape from our own shadows, time out from our normal everyday routine gives us the opportunity to re-evaluate and alter what we ‘put out’ into our external world.
Look again at the image of Worldbridger (Cimi to the Maya) in the Mayan glyph at the top of the page …we are being offered an opportunity to step across the bridge and seize the possibility of new growth and transformation… it is an opportunity to awaken and step into the light.
The colour associated with Worldbridger is Forest Green. Work with Green Crystals and stones this wavespell; Green Aventurine, Malachite, Jade, Dioptase and Moss Agate. They are stones associated with the heart, with nature and encourage balance and harmony into your life.
So in this next 13 day wavespell, focus on the practice of surrender, forgiveness and release… lessen the load …and feel yourself become lighter…
